Many people express a fear of public speaking – and this is a very large group of fear, when you consider everything that can be regarded as a public speaker. But is it really "talk", which they fear, or is it something else? What people are really afraid something might be much more personal:
* The fears that are judged
* The fear of not wanting to be
* The fear that I get bored and have nothing good to say
* The fear is exposed as a fraud – asa person who is not really an expert
* The fear of losing his place during the interview
* Do not be afraid to make mistakes
* Discomfort at being in the spotlight
Speaking publicly perceived as a place of experimentation, and much of what people are afraid that their errors will be revealed. It's your greatest fear in this list?
Now ask yourself the following questions: What is the fear of the list is based on reality to you – and, you know absolutelywill happen? How many of them have done for you? What fears might be able to reduce or completely lost – the preparation, practice and get rid of the rigid expectations of perfection?
Teachers today are not who you are. It's about your audience. Connecting today are also reformulate, or train your brain to the situation of speaking in public perception in a different way.
Pointer # 1: People want success
The public is notsitting there hoping that you will fall on your face. The public does not matter if you lose. Even if you make a mistake, can cover all. We were all there, and we are all human beings.
In reality it is much easier to relate to a speaker that is human and imperfect as it is to make a connection to a too polished, too smooth speaker. Put yourself in the audience for a moment. Already on the other hand, many times – Have you ever wanted the speaker to fail? Of course not!
People wantthe speaker, had a relationship with the speaker, whether they realize it or not. Your job, as it were, is to build a relationship with the public. The more you connect on an emotional level, the more the audience relates to you.
Before the event, while the image of the successful presentation (you can view the presentation of success, no?) You say, "People want me to succeed."
Pointer # 2: Peoplewant to learn from you
They came because they expect to learn something new or something interesting for you to listen to. You know you're the expert. They do not know how you're nervous, they know not what they do not feel safe. They expect to know what you speak. And guess what '- you do!
Think of yourself as a teacher. You are there for the information that the public needs and wants. No one can give them specific information on howpower. The content, style and delivery are all unique and special for you. Pride in your ability to walk along this valuable information to the public.
Remember these words: "What does it mean for them?" If you meet the needs of the public about your concerns about how the experience is successful, there is great satisfaction in meeting these requirements, your fears will remain.
Before the event, while the image of your bid for success, saidto yourself: "I have valuable information to share, and I know my stuff."
Pointer # 3: You can not always say what the public thinks
Have you ever looked into the room, you noticed someone talking and sending e-mail from his device?
Rarely has the full attention of everyone in the room, which shows that interest you. People have too many other things in their minds, and it's just a fact that all speakersface.
You can be the most intelligent and engaging and entertaining speaker who has never heard of, but someone in the room must be aware of. It will focus on a person who appears to have collapsed from exhaustion, or 47 people laughing and fascinated?
Something to remember, not everyone who expresses her / himself in the same way. We all know this rationally, but we still think our place as one that seems to get bored or uncomfortable and anxietyderivatives.
A participant can take your words to manage better, but do something else, like read email, play games or doodle. Some people feel better when not distracted by Visual so people can not get eye contact with her or look at your material. They can pay attention to everything you say, but in a way that does not know you. You may also be surprised if one of the members of the public who come to the end and tell you how they are Enjoy your presentation!
Now, if half the audience is nodding off, or show their faces scrunching into confusion, there may be some foundation to shift gears a bit '. Draw attention to the public throughout the conversation, and make an effort to read body language, so you know where you are. There are enough good books and articles on-line "body language, if you want to learn more.
Before the event, while the image of your success> Presentation, saying to yourself: "I am a speech interesting and stimulating."
Reframing practice, the way you perceive the public, bring your attention to meet their needs and use of positive affirmations for each class, and thus reduce the anxiety of public speaking.
