Characteristics of good leadership

Introduction

Some leaders have been characterized as an asset and serve as challenges for others to emulate. This description is, however, clearly raises a question: on what criteria is that the leadership is characterized as a good thing? It is certain that some managers, if management does not fall into this category are good qualities that others can emulate. For this reason it is not only important to know that leadership is characterized as good, but also to knowproperties that qualify it as well. According to Anthony D'Souza, implies a relationship of direction between these three elements:

(a) the quality of skills and needs of followers
(b) The needs and expectations of the group
(c) The question whether the requirements of situation.1

It can be observed from what D'Souza said that the first factor concerns the personality of the leader, the second, his supporters and the third, the task must be finished.

Onbasis of what has been said the qualities of good leadership will be under the following headings are identified: —

(a) The personal qualities of leaders
(b) the characteristics of followers
(c) the supervisory activity or mission. Choosing leaders in the Bible, whose leaders

classified as an asset will be the basis for this presentation.

(a) The personal qualities of the Leader

You can see from the scriptures that God was veryselective in choosing leaders for specific tasks. God chose specifically at the forefront of Nehemiah rebuilding the wall in Jerusalem, Moses lead the Israelites to slavery in Egypt, Paul, missionary to the Jews, and David, whose ratio of Pioneer will make a lasting dynasty, instead of Saul. These men were certainly the qualities that are essential for good governance. God recognizes these qualities in their potential, as if he has chosen them.

In this section some ofquality of the heads of the above will be discussed in more general terms. The aim is to demonstrate that it is understandable that the good personal qualities of leaders, when applied to leadership are the qualities of good leadership.

Nehemiah

In thinking about Nehemiah, said John White, that "the book of Nehemiah is mostly used to deploy for our part of the ongoing plan of God for his people.
