Know your script

May-11-2010 By admin

I had my first big job promotion at the end of 1980. One of my first big marketing presentations were for the entire field sales force, more than 700 people in a giant hotel ballroom. I knew I had to motivate, but I was scared to death.

My boss, a veteran of giving many of these events, asked me what I was so afraid. As I explain my nervousness to prove every detail of my post 20 minutes to remember, he smiled and told me to rememberthing, only you know the script.

Although it may seem simple, which helped with the truth that he relieve my mind. I knew I forgot something to manage my list of details and size, and even if I know. He also said the government really wanted me to do well and would root for me. This is not to criticize or to look for errors, he said.

Well, I went out and save my presentation to the end of my post700 was "motivated" people clap and shout at me.

Here's what I learned from experience:

– Look at the situation objectively

– Be prepared and know the subject

– Focus on what the public can learn the message

And if you think about your next event a powerful message delivery and motivating, remember that the government is on your side. Most of them want you to do well and they are there to learn from your post. Anyhappens on stage, only you know the script!
